Group Therapy for Social and Performance Anxiety beginning in March

December 7, 2012

This group is intended for people who struggle with anxiety in social and/or performance situations. Giving formal presentations, speaking up in class, going to parties, meeting new people, talking on the phone, and interacting with authority figures are some of the many situations that can provoke social anxiety.

Our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group will teach participants to learn to identify and shift unhealthy thinking patterns that perpetuate their anxiety, and they are guided supported in gradually facing their fears. Participants engage at their own pace - no one is "put on the spot".

The group will begin meeting March 12th and will meet for 8 consecutive weekly 90-minute sessions from 5:30-7:00pm.

If you are interested, call (734) 764-3471 to schedule a one-hour individual consultation session to see if this group is right for you.
